North Shore Horseback Ride

A small group adventure to the beautiful North Shore of Oahu for sun, fun and a scenic horseback riding tour. Your driver guide will share legends and history of the beautiful island enroute to Gunstock Ranch. Relax during the drive over the Nu’uanu Pali Highway to the windward coastline surrounded by the towering Ko’olau Mountain Range, then onward to the famous North Shore where waves pound pristine white sandy beaches.

Once on the North Shore, the real adventure begins. Your horseback ride will take you up scenic mountain trails, through open pastures and a serene forest. Then enjoy a picnic lunch and soak up the beauty of the ranch and the petting zoo. On our way back to Waikiki visit historic Haleiwa Town and refresh with local favorite, shave ice.

View Mokoli’i, or “little lizard” in Hawaiian, a islet in Kaneohe Bay that can be seen near Kualoa as we wind our way along the scenic coastline.
North Shore surfing breaks, including world famous Sunset, Waimea Bay, and others, are viewed from your tour vehicle as it crosses the island’s big wave territory. The region is known for its fabulously large wintertime waves and international surfing competitions.
Historic Haleiwa town, with its preserved old plantation character and surf town image, makes its shops and restaurants popular among visitors and Oahu residents. It’s the gateway to the North Shore for those arriving from Honolulu and is the area’s largest commercial center.

Departure & Return Location

Round-trip hotel transportation is included from convenient Waikiki locations. If your hotel or the place you are staying is not listed, we will pick you up at the closest location. Tour departs the first pickup location at 6:00 AM and returns at approximately 4:15 PM. 24 hours prior to your tour, please re-confirm your pickup time and location by calling 808-833-3000.

Pick-up Information

Complimentary hotel pick up and return provided from designated Waikiki hotels. Enter the name of your hotel at time of reservation. Please call our Reservations Department at 808-833-3000, 24 hours prior to tour to re-confirm your pickup time and place.

Tour Restrictions

-Guests must be at least 7 years of age to participate
-Level of difficulty is easy to moderate
-Cancellations received up to 120 hours prior to tour for full refund
-Completed waiver must be completed prior to tour for each participating guest
-Long pants, closed toe shoes recommended
-If wearing a hat on the horseback ride, it must have a chin strap
-Max weight for horseback riding: 240 lbs., under 18 years must ride with a helmet
-Tour will operate rain or shine, but if Gunstock Ranch cancels; guests will be welcomed on an extended Circle Island sightseeing tour or may rebook their tour.

Cancellation Policy:

If this tour is canceled with more than 120 hours’ notice, the total amount is refunded. If the tour is canceled without 120 hours’ notice, full charges apply. No shows incur full charges. Claims for refunds must be made within thirty days of the date of service.
