As of September 24, 2018 all our Big Island Tours are once again visiting parts of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park (HVNP). Recent volcanic eruptions have drastically changed the landscape of the park, and for the time being, the Visitor Center, Steam Vents and parts of Chain of Craters Road are the only areas that have reopened.
Take a relaxing, scenic excursion around the Big Island of Hawaii where you’ll experience the most historic, scenic and cultural highlights of Hawaii’s youngest island.
The latest itinerary for this tour includes a visit to Royal Kona Coffee’s headquarters, Punalu‘u black sand beach and lunch (on your own) at the Lava Rock Cafe located in the historic Volcano Village area; offering Hawaiian-style cuisine. After lunch, it’s onto Big Island Candy Company, the home for exquisite chocolate and mac nut treats and then a stop at Rainbow Falls where rainbows magically form in the mist! On the way back to Kona, take a scenic coastal drive along the Hamakua coast, Honoka’a and Waimea.
*Denotes tour stops. Viewing of lava is not guaranteed due to external factors outside our control.
