Inter - Island Tour To The Big Island of Hawaii from Maui
Big Island Volcano Adventure Tour

Just as it was for Mark Twain, over a century ago, this is truly the experience of a lifetime!
Your Big Island of Hawaii Tour adventure starts after arriving at Hilo Airport, you will be driven through the town where you can see the famous and historically significant Banyan Tree Drive. The Banyan trees found along this road were planted by religious leaders, political leaders, famous authors, movie stars, world adventurers and local Hawaiians dating back to 1933.
Keep your camera ready for your next stop; Rainbow Falls located at Wailuku River State Park. This 80 foot tall and almost 100 foot wide waterfall flows over a natural lava cave into a large freshwater pool below surrounded by dense tropical fauna. Depending on the day of your tour and the season, you might pay a visit to the world famous Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Factory.
The highlight of this tour, and star attraction is the world famous Kilauea Volcano which has been steadily erupting since the 1980's. Your tour guide will entertain and educate with a fully narrated tour as you travel towards the Volcano National Park. Learn about the fascinating history of this location at the nearby Jaggar Museum. Other highlights include the the enormous Thurston Lava Tube, steam vents, Fern Tree Jungle, and the Kilauea Iki Crater.
Additional highlights on this tour include a visit to an orchid & anthurium nursery in Hilo and a hike over the 1980's lava flow that covered Kalapana and Kaimu Black Sand Beaches.

Tour Restriction(s)
In order to be in compliance with FAA regulations we require the full names of all persons on tour with air transportation.
International visitors must have a valid passport to fly interisland on these tours and all U.S. citizens must have a current government ID. This name must be exactly as it appears on your valid, government-issued photo identification. Air carriers will deny boarding if the passenger name, as shown does not match name on air ticket. If passenger is denied boarding due to non-compliance with this requirement there will be no refund. Operates daily This tour does not operate Christmas, New Year's Day or Thanksgiving.
This tour departs from Hilo side of the Big Island and Hilo Airport.
Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes as this tour traverses sharp, uneven lava surfaces.
Fumes (volcanic gasses) are hazardous to everyone's
health. We discourage visitors with heart or breathing problems and infants,
young children, and pregnant women are especially at risk and should avoid being
in areas where fumes persist. All passengers
are required to sign a release of liability form.
We cannot predict weather or lava viewing conditions. Lava viewing features can change hourly. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE SIGHTING OF ACTIVE LAVA FLOWS. Surface lava may be present but may not be viewable due to environmental
conditions or time constraints. When lava enters the ocean, intense heat can produce a plume cloud with dangerous and potentially life threatening toxic gases, super heated steam and
hydrochloric acid. Airborne particles are a hazard to your eyes and lungs. Leave area at once. If inland flows are present, and you use caution you may have an opportunity to view fresh lava up close. Follow marked routes and your guides instructions. Molten lava is 2000 degrees F. Keep a safe distance and never go into areas where your escape route may be cut off. Do not throw objects into lava as this can cause burns from spattering lava or eye injuries from airborne volcanic glass. BE AWARE, STAY ALERT, USE CAUTION, DO NOT TAKE CHANCES.
Operates daily. Some features may be closed on Christmas, New Year's Day or Thanksgiving.
No host lunch (subject to change).
