I brought my mom along for our first visit to Hawaii. I wanted to thank Keao, the driver and guide for our Oahu Grand Circle Island Tour. He took the time to get to know each of us personally, called us by our names, and was really easy to get a long with. The knowledge he has and the history that he passed on during the tour was amazing. We had plenty of time at each stop to take in all the sites. Oahu is a beautiful place. I will definitely take another Polynesian Adventure Tour and hope that I will get Keao again, or at least a tour guide as great as he is.
Mahalo Keao, for a very memorable time!

Hana Highway is 56 miles of the most beautiful stretch of twisting, winding road that most people will ever see. You will drive through rainforest, along the coast, see waterfalls, bamboo forests, cliffs and flowers. When you reach Hana you should vist O'heo Gulch and pools, formerly known as Seven Sacred Pools. These lava pools were once home to a thriving ancient Hawaiian culture. Also found in Hana are Hana Ranch and Hotel Hana Maui

Subject: Looking forward to another tour with your company
Aloha from the mainland. My wife & I took a circle island tour of Oahu with your company many years ago when we were
newlyweds. Although we had been to Hawaii many times before, we decided to see it from a local's perspective and
booked a tour with you. We were enchanted seeing the sights, without concern of getting around or getting lost and still
recall fondly our driver Nappy, and the wonderful time we had that day. The open highway between scheduled destinations
promised another cheery Hawaiian song with island trivia sprinkled amongst the anecdotes and made us as comfortable as we
could only imagine, all the while learning more about the places that we had already visited previously on our own. More
memorable though was the easy-going attitude Nappy shared with us, and his friendly demeanor which was contagious, and
a truely unique outlook on life people and the things that really matter. I was honored to be a part of that tour so long ago,
and to meet such a great tour guide. I can hardly wait to visit again and hope Nappy is still with you to guide us once more.
Sincerely,
Mark & Melly
I would like to pass on my thanks to "Tiny" for an exceptional job during my tour of the USS Arizona last week. This was
my first to trip to Hawaii (Maui) and words cannot express the quality, professionalism and great fun that this individual put
forth
in this one day tour. My advise is to hold on to this guy with both arms....Mahalo!

Dear Sir, I was not sure who to send this to but I wanted to let someone know about the great time my family and I had on our tour. We had "Garfield" as our driver for a day tour on Oahu on Wednesday, August 2, 2006. He was fantastic and made what could have been at times very a boring bus ride, a great adventure. The guide makes or breaks the tour and we think you have a great one in Garfield. I work in the customer service business and I can tell you when you have an employee like Garfield that makes people feel good, make sure you pay him enough so he stays around for a long time. They are hard to find and worth their weight in gold. Regards, Eric
Star Rating: 5/5 Comments: This trip was just as you would like to see. The tour guide was very prepared and organized. His entire tour was as you would expect.Excellent presentation and very professional.
Star Rating: 5/5 Comments: Not to be missed. The most moving experience with reverence and tranquility. Time has stopped in this most emotional yet powerful tour. This tour stirs your soul. Surreal, peaceful and most inspiring.
August 30, 2006, I arrived in Honolulu for the first time... I stayed at the Waikiki Sand Villa, and scheduled all of my trips thru their planner. Our second day there, the 31st,we scheduled the tour to Pearl Harbor and USS Arizona and USS Missouri. It was truly a trip I will always remember. Our driver/tour guide was a tremendous person. Extremely informative and answering all of our questions. I wanted very much to express to him my thanks, but did not get a chance to. His name was Tai, or Ty.... as he said, as in Mai Tai....and was one of the most polite, intelligent men ever. Your tours were wonderful and I look forward to bringing my brother and sister over to show them these wonderful places. I pray that we can have a wonderful tour guide like Tai. Thank you again. Deborah
My family and I went on the Arizona Memorial, Pearl Harbor, and Punchbowl Tour
on the island of Oahu on Sunday, June 17 and we were blown away with our wonderful
tour guide (Bud). He was the most knowledgable, fascinating tour guide I have personally
ever encountered and I enjoyed this tour more than anything. The tour was great too,
but my goal is to ravish about Bud and let you know how absolutely wonderful of a job he did.

Star Rating: 5/5 Comments: LOVED THIS TOUR!!! I would recommed this tour to everyone who is thinking about visiting Oahu. Very informative and we were able to take lots of beautiful pictures of the island.
To whom it may concern,
We just wanted to say "MAHALO" for helping to make our first visit to Oah'u extremely memorable. We came over to celebrate our 25th Anniversary and wanted everything to go well. We decided to take the
island tour on 5/13/07 and had "LEO C" for our driver. WOW, he was soooooooooo AWESOME !!! We really learned a lot and, enjoyed ourselves immensely !! HE is truly an ASSET to your company. Hopefully, he'll still be doing this next year when we come back so he can take us
around again
"MAHALO"

To Whom It May Concern,
Aloha. My husband and I recently took our first trip together to Hawaii. We took your 120 mile circle island tour and your Pearl Harbor/Arizona Memorial/USS Missouri/City tour during our stay. We enjoyed both very much. When we went on the grand circle island tour of Oahu with Dole plantation on Monday,10-1-07 with Leo the scenery alone was great, but he made it OUTSTANDING. He told us a lot of history and gave us many insights into the local culture and happenings, as well as making us laugh quite a bit!!! We went with Matt on the other tour Wednesday, 10-3-07 and enjoyed it equally, seeing a side of Hawaii we'd never have seen or known otherwise. I would definitely recommend the tours with your company to anyone I know planning a trip to Hawaii.
Also, on a separate note: we were taken to a macadamia nut farm/store on Oahu during the circle island tour that I don't remember the name of. What is it please? It was a lovely little place with scrumptious treats and was a sweet touch to a long outing.

Please forgive the email for this glowing feedback of our tour to the Arizona/Punchbowl/Waikiki with Garfield, our
tour bus operator/guide. From the moment we stepped onto his magical tour bus, he kept us captivated by his
humor, knowledge, and kindness. . I felt as though I was with a gentle “Papa,” because he was so caring and
considerate of our well-being. He consistently repeated directions, seemingly aware
of how people listen sporadically and miss information from
time to time. I’m a teacher,
so I know how selective hearing can be in people. His patience, tested when one family
kept the tour on hold until they finally returned to us, is another great attribute. The
rest of us might have wanted to throttle those latecomers for putting a crimp into our
tour day, but Garfield never showed displeasure with them. On the Missouri, he
reminded us more than one time to watch our step and mind our open toed shoes as we
walked about the deck areas. He just made us feel safe and cared for. At the Arizona,
he helped us to get into the program
and to find him after the visit to the memorial and continue on to the Missouri.
What a pleasure to find out that he was to guide us on its decks as well! Frankly, I can’t imagine a better tour guide.
His storehouse of information kept us entertained and introduced us to many intriguing facts about the island and its
people. He obviously loves Oahu and our country, as evidenced by his respectful and admiring tone when sharing
details about USS Arizona and Missouri. I would think it a challenge for
some islanders to accept the throngs of
tourists that visit the islands, but Garfield, as well as so many residents of
Oahu and Maui (where we spent the
majority of our trip), treated us with so much Aloha! spirit, that I can’t imagine
a more enjoyable vacation than to
revisit the islands and take another tour!
Mahalo for the pleasure of this trip to Oahu!

Star Rating: 5/5 Comments: this was a very thorough tour. staff was available to guide us through the airport and to waiting bus. tour guide was very knowledgeable and pointed out many areas of interest not listed on the tour package. definately worth the money. plan on a VERY long day - pick up is before dawn and return is late evening. bring light weight jacket - it gets cool and rainy in the mountainous areas.
Star Rating: 5/5 Comments: We really enjoyed the day, but we had in mind that we would see the red lava somewhere along the trip. We got to see a lava tube(never heard of them before). We walked on the lava and saw many other sites. Took lots of pictures to remember the day. Very highly recommend this tour. The orchids were BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Today's tour was just great, although a little bit wet. But, when we arrive at the location, the rain stopped. We had fabulous
Tour Guide, her name is Laura. She was so entertaining, knowledgeable, friendly and very accommodating . I think all the
guests in our bus number #3 were happy because of Laura. She was singing, teaching us a lesson of few Hawaiian words,
telling us all history of the Island, Social life, geological study about volcano, tsunami, about all vegetation, trees, name it.
Is just like on discovery tour. She even dance hula for us with her friend and introduced me as a VIP guest on the bus and
everybody gave me an applaud, which embarrassed me of course . The Botanical Garden was OK and we stopped for
30 minutes and got the trolley ride inside the garden, In the Macadamia Plantation stop around 40 minutes for brunch and
some enjoyed the Dally Ice-cream, visited the processing plant and some shopping inside the gift shop. The Akaka Falls was
beautiful, we walked through tropical forest, beautiful landscape and very easy trail to walk through even for a guest who
walked with a walker. Once again Laura is an outstanding Tour Guide, the best I ever known in my past tours. Please pass
my compliment about Laura to the Tour Company.
We just returned from Hawaii and wanted to commend the drivers/directors on 3 of the tours we took with your company. In Hilo - Peaches; in Kona - Jerry and in Oahu - Garfield. They were very informative in sharing their knowledge of each island and we were disappointed to see the tour come to an end. They were very helpful to each of us and wanted to be sure everyone was comfortable. Just wanted to give these three a pat on the back and say thank you for them. Roy & Peggy
Subject: Tour Guide of the Year
To Whom It May Concern,
Grab a piping hot cup of Royal Hawaiian Kona coffee because this is going to be a novel!
I am a tourist from Kansas City Missouri. I have to say that, if you give out awards for Tour Guide of the Year, you absolutely MUST give such an award to Henry H. from Hilo. He moved there 11 years ago and fell in love with the land, the Hawaiian culture, and the Hawaiian language. He knows everything there is to know about Hawaii, it's history, and how the people lived and socialized, etc. Taking a tour with Henry was like taking a very interesting, intriguing one-day college course on Hawaiian culture. He even took a huge Rose of Sharon flower out of his own garden to show us how it changes color from white to pale pink throughout the course of the day. He taught us how to speak and read Hawaiian words and, by the end of the tour, I could say the name of the state fish, humuhumunukunukuapuaa, without even flinching! In fact, during succeeding tours when the tour guides would ask everyone what the name of that fish was, I was the ONLY one on the bus that could say it correctly and, again, without even flinching! He took us on the tour of Volcane National Park and got us within 100 feet of a sulphur steam vent. That was a true once-in-a-lifetime experience which I will never forget. Neither will my nose! As you can probably tell, I love Hawaii and the people about as much Henry does, I just can't cough up enough moolah to move there! He also taught us about the history of the kukui nut. I was so intriqued by the history of how the Hawaiians used the nut that I spent $20 on some Kukui Cream for my dry skin which I love because it is not greasy like other creams and it really works! By the end of the tour, I was about to cry because I thought that I was never going to see my favorite tour guide again, but lo and behold, when I arrived in Kona (after two days in Maui), there was Henry waiting for our group at the dock. I felt like I was reunited with an old cherished friend and, once again, he intrigued us with the history of Kona, its sacred santuary for the ancient Hawaiian rule-breakers, and of course, the Kona coffee plantation. By the time the tour ended, it was soooo hard to say good-bye to Henry for the last time, but I know that someday I will make it back to my favorite place in this whole wide world and I will be sure to look him up, even if it's just to say Aloha. Hopefully, though, I will have an opportunity to take another one of your tours. You can be sure, I will recommend your company to everyone I meet who is planning a Hawaiian vacation.
Bottom line is, even though Henry is not a native Hawaiian (he's Belgian-American), he is most certainly Hawaiian at heart and the valuable information he gives and how he allows his love for the land and people to flow out through his personality, makes him a valuable asset to your company and will ENSURE that you will be in business for years to come. He is a treasure you need to keep, just like Hawaii is a treasure that us mainlanders will always keep close to our hearts. Mahalo nui loa for taking time to read this novel.
Sincerely,
Kim

Aloha!
I have been putting off writing this email for a while but I had to make a special time to thank you guys!
My wife and I were part of the Verizon company (employees) group and took the Volcano Tour on the big Island on 6/27/07.
We had a wonderful time --not really because of the beauty of the island and scenery but mostly because we had such an incredibly nice tour guide. Well, actually he was the bus driver but I never refer him as a 'driver' since my wife and I had agreed after sitting in the bus for 10 minutes that he was a tour guide.
The reason, very simple. Wayne (the name of our tour guide) were on the microphone from departing the hotel all the way until our return (almost 8 hours). We have learned so much from this very knowledgable guide. He tought us of Hawaiian history from plants to ranches, to captain cook, to anything you can imagine to include the legend of "Pele".
Please pass our kindness regards to Wayne and tell him thank you again for making our trip such a special trip. Attached several photos we are hoping you could relay and share with Wayne (he is pictured in some of it).
Mahalo!!!

Garfield did a wonderful job in providing historical information as well as
cultural information through facts, stories and observations. It was a
great tour, and Garfield is a terrific ambassador. Whatever you are paying
him, it's probably not enough.

My wife and I recently visited Hawaii. We began with a cruise of the islands. The company used exclusively to carry us around on our excursions was Polynesian Adventure Tours. I can’t adequately describe what a pleasant experience it was. My wife is always on me about being so critical. In this case, however it was all good. All buses were in immaculate shape. All drivers were very professional and extremely knowledgeable. The drivers all had a strong sense of humor, never in my opinion offending any one with it. The only thing I noted if told that I just had to find a fault would be that all of the drivers went out of their way to be patient with the tour members. As a commercial driver myself I know what it is like to drive a large vehicle and the driving skills were proficient. When we returned to Honolulu, we continued to get around with Polynesian Adventure Tours and the same quality existed and was maintained there. Your company will be highly recommended by us. Thank you and Mahalo.
I took the Grand Circle tour on Friday, September the 8th and had a wonderful time. The Big Island is absolutely gorgeous. However, I mainly wanted to send this message to say that Jan is an EXCELLENT tour guide! His manor, humor and knowledge makes the tour all the more pleasurable. He's a real asset! Thanks for a wonderful time! Stuart
My husband and I had the pleasure of touring Waimea Canyon and Wailua River with Aunty Alicia on 7/12/7.
It was truly one of the best days of our 7 day visit on Kauai.
Alicia shares an incredible wealth of knowledge. Being with her for only a day was a gift. We learned so much about the island and it's detailed history. We enjoyed every minute of the tour. She managed to join everyone on our small tour into an intimate group, and as a result we came away with new friends that we will always remember fondly. We actually all shared the same lunch table at the grill where we stopped for lunch! (the food and the service were very good)
You have a priceless asset in Aunty Alicia. Please let her know that we will always be grateful that we met her.
Sincerely,
Barbara & Michael

Dear Sirs,
I am from Hong Kong and I took a holiday trip to Hawaii from 16th to 25th of December, 2006. I ordered three of
your one day tours through Ala Moana Hotel, namely, Kauai (K1), Hawaii big Island (H1) and Maui (M1) on 18th, 20th and
22th of December, 2006. The tours were nicely organized and I have experienced the many beautify scenaries with fun and felt
satisfied to have left consecutive one day break before taking each of the other trip.
The tour guides were three gentlemen who
have taken good care of all the events. I happened to have took two photos of them ( Steve (Kauai), one from Maui but I
cannot remember the name of the guide from the big Island ).
I shared those experiences and photos with my friends and
relatives, then I realized that I have forgotten to tip them. It has been weeks and possible records of my traveling with your
company has been erased. Just wonder if it is possible to locate their mailing addresses in order I can send them a thank you
letter again. Therefore I have attached two photos taken with the gentlemen.
Yours sincerely
Wallace
Dear Poly Adventures: My wife and I recently took the Haleakala Tour
with your company. Our driver, Craig, was tops - friendly, courteous,
and very informative. In spite of Craig telling us not to leave objects,
we did. My wife called your office and the items had been turned in.
Then your office had someone bring the items to our hotel. This service
goes well beyond the call of duty and is greatly appreciated by my wife
and I. We will definetly recommend your tours to any of our friends that
may come to Hawaii. Thank You again. W. M. Tate
My wife and I took the Road to Hana tour recently and were so impressed with the experience that we felt we needed to share our excitement with you. Our driver, guide, and friend, Kaui, was immensely knowledgeable and entertaining during our full day of sightseeing. Being from Illinois, we have not experience much of the glorious natural scenery and wildlife in this area, nor were we well versed in the history and culture here... until we boarded Kaui's bus. The overall experience was phenomenal due to all of the elements that were combined. Between Kaui's wit and humor, the planned route, the beautiful mix of music that Kaui put together for the ride, the insight proudly bestowed upon us regarding the early days of Mauian culture up to the present day, and the unscheduled and improvised stops, we most definitely had a memorable day trip. We never imagined that we would learn so much and be involved in such a friendly and warm atmosphere on a bus tour! Our thanks go out to Polynesian Adventure Tours for the opportunity to sign on for the ride, and much love to Kaui for etching the day into our memories for a very long time.
This was absolutely the most unique experience we have had on our first trip to the Islands.
We would both highly recommend Kaui and the Road to Hana tour!
With heartfelt sincerity,
Terry and Jill

Aloha!
We just returned from our honeymoon in Hawaii, and wanted to give you some feedback on the part that your company played. We took a tour after we got off the ship Pride of Hawaii. NCL billed the tour as the “Grand Finale” tour…
Pearl Harbor followed by the Polynesian Culture Center and then a drop off at the airport.
The tour itself was one of the
most informative and interesting things we did during our stay. But what I really want to
comment on was the tour
guide/driver, who called himself ‘Tiny’. He used the name Walter as well but we didn’t know if that was his true name
or not. Please pass along our thanks to him for what was one of the most interesting and fun tours we have had in our
lifetime. Tiny was always courteous, informative and most of all FUN. I tipped him and told him that he was a true
Hawaiian treasure, but I also wanted this praise to reach his supervision as well. It is good people that make or
break a company, and you have found just such a person in Tiny. Please pass this message both to Tiny and the management.
When we return to Hawaii on our next trip, we will make sure to book all of our tours through your company and with
any luck Tiny will be our guide.
Mahalo!

Greetings…We just got back from ten or so days in your part of the world… one of the days was spend with a young man…
Leslie or Les… Les was our guide on a Road to Hanna excursion during our recent Pride of Hawaii cruise… won’t take up a
lot of your time but you should know that Les was one of the finest ambassadors for a company I have ever come into contact
with.He provided our group with a down home and personal perspective of life in Hawaii, some from his very own experiences
growing up in Maui, that could not be bought anywhere. There are a lot of good things I would like to tell you about Les but I
don’t want to take up too much of your time. Please let the folks who sigh his time sheets know that they have a star in their
midst… my only regret was when the bus pulled back into the port… I learned a great deal about Hawaii and the beautiful
people who call paradise home. Please let him know I had a great time and appreciated the fact that he didn’t conduct his
tour like a cattle run. He made it up close and personal…Thanks…Jim
