I brought my mom along for our first visit to Hawaii. I wanted to thank Keao, the driver and guide for our Oahu Grand Circle Island Tour. He took the time to get to know each of us personally, called us by our names, and was really easy to get a long with. The knowledge he has and the history that he passed on during the tour was amazing. We had plenty of time at each stop to take in all the sites. Oahu is a beautiful place. I will definitely take another Polynesian Adventure Tour and hope that I will get Keao again, or at least a tour guide as great as he is.
Mahalo Keao, for a very memorable time!

You will drive through rainforest, along the coast, see waterfalls, bamboo forests, cliffs and flowers. When you reach Hana you should vist O'heo Gulch and pools, formerly known as Seven Sacred Pools. These lava pools were once home to a thriving ancient Hawaiian culture. Also found in Hana are Hana Ranch and Hotel Hana Maui

Home>Maui>Info>Haleakala National Park
Haleakala National Park is located on the eastern slopes of the island of Mau'i. It encompasses 28,655 acres, of which 19,270 acres are wilderness. The Park includes the summit depression, Kipahulu Valley and ‘Ohe‘o Gulch and pools, extending to the Kipahulu area near Hana. From the summit, two main trails lead into Haleakala: Sliding Sands Trail and Halemau‘u Trail.
The temperature near the top varies between about 40°F and 60°F but can feel much colder if you venture to the summit for sunrise or when the wind is blowing across this stark environment. Take care walking, the thin air at the 10,023' elevation, and the possibility of dehydration make the walking trails more challenging than one might expect.
Most people imagine the Big Island and its eruptions at Kilauea or Mauna Loa as the main Hawaiian volcanoes. Haleakala is considered a dormant volcano but East Maui has witnessed at least ten eruptions in the past 1,000 years, and numerous eruptions have occurred there in the past 10,000 years.
The Hawaiian name Haleakala means, "house of the sun".It is the place where the demigod Maui is believed to have snared the sun and forced it to slow its journey across the sky.
Polynesian Adventure Tours visits Haleakala on Maui or as a One Day Fly Away Tour from Oahu. Book this Haleakala Tour now on this website and you will receive 10% discount. It's the best price we offer!
