Rising over 10,000 feet above sea level Haleakala is Maui's, "House of the Sun" in Hawaiian lore. Witness the breaking of a new day at the top of Mt. Haleakala. I would recommend this tour - very knowledgeable driver. We missed the sunrise because of the clouds, but the experience made it worth the effort! I will definitely try this again during my next visit to Maui. I chose to take the Sunrise Tour the morning after I arrived at my hotel (checked in at 9pm, then the tour started at 3am) because I knew I would not adjust to the time difference right away. I was the only person that was really awake because the others waited a day or two after they arrived before taking the tour. They all told me that they wished that they did it the same way. The sunrise and the views from the summit of Haleakala are amazing just be sure to dress appropriately because it feels like its freezing with the wind gusts. The tour bus driver was also highly knowledgeable of many historic points for Maui and Haleakala. Reviewed by: J. G., USA, June 2010
